Recent Edits: Different Perspectives Of Golden Gate Bridge

“Recent Edit,” is a new series I created to share my older work from my photo backlog. A few years ago, I found myself getting caught up in the social media cycle, of as soon as I captured an image, I would edit and quickly post on social media. I wanted to slow my process down so I could reflect on the images and take my time editing. In a way, I wanted it to fill like shooting film where you are not able to view or edit your photos until you finished a roll and it was then developed and scanned. So, unless it’s a special project or family photos I immediately need to see,  I dump all of my new photos in an intake folder I created in Lightroom. I then review that folder and select photos to edit that draw my attention at that time. This has been a great improvement to my photography workflow, as well as allowing me to actively revisit memories of the past. Since time seems to fly by even faster now that I have kids. I don’t have a particular cadence for this series, but I will post on social media when I do have a new series ready.

This set is from a trip my wife and I took to The Bay in 2021 to visit friends. This was one of the first times I got a chance to capture “Karl” and the Golden Gate Bridge. I shot these with Leica M246 Monochrom and 50mm Summilux ASPH v1.
